Project Coordinator – Rural Resilience Tools Project
Location: Argyll and Bute (hybrid – remote with community site visits)
Hours: 14 hours per week (average / flexible)
Contract: Fixed-term to 31 March 2026
Rate: £13 per hour
Reporting to: Household Resilience Coordinator / Delivery Partnership
Project Overview
This role supports the delivery of a collaborative project led by 10 rural community organisations across Argyll and Bute, funded through the CLLD programme. The project will enhance local climate resilience by equipping communities with emergency tools (generators, radios, power banks), printed materials, and training, building local capacity to respond to severe weather and infrastructure failure.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate project delivery across all 9 partner communities
· Maintain regular communication with named contacts in each organisation
· Oversee procurement and supplier coordination (quotes, orders, delivery tracking)
· Support distribution logistics and delivery timelines
· Coordinate local training sessions and workshops
· Track project milestones and maintain shared documentation
· Collate monitoring data and community feedback
· Contribute to interim and final project reports for funders
· Flag delivery risks or delays and support resolution
· Ensure project aligns with funder requirements (e.g. quotes, receipts, visibility)
Person Specification
Essential:
· Strong organisational and time management skills
· Excellent communication (written and verbal)
· Experience coordinating community or multi-stakeholder projects
· Confidence working independently and remotely
· Familiarity with rural and/or island community contexts
· Basic experience with spreadsheets, MS365, and email
Desirable:
· Experience with procurement, grant reporting, or resilience/emergency planning
· Understanding of Argyll and Bute’s geography and community infrastructure
· Lived experience of rural resilience challenges
