Inspiralba has a commitment to supporting opportunities for young people in social enterprise. The 2019 Social Enterprise Census highlighted that 56% of social enterprises provide employability opportunities for young people, with 42% employing young unemployed. Inspiralba works with a number of partners to provide and support work experience and employability opportunities for young people with social enterprises across Argyll and Bute.
Work Experience Opportunities:
In response to the challenges of lockdown and with support from Argyll and Bute Youth Forum and DYW Argyll, Inspiralba, have partnered with local social enterprises across the area to offer a range of Virtual Work Experience Opportunities, which will run from 22nd February 2021 until 24th May 2021. Examples of work activity range from e commerce support, digital marketing and community engagement with full brief and application details in links below:
Inspiralba also support wage based employability opportunities for unemployed young people in partnership with Fyne Homes and supported by Scottish Government Investing in Communities. We are also a Gateway organisation for the Governments Kickstart Programme and hope to be able to support employment opportunities in the coming months given the challenging context of youth unemployment.
