*Household Resilience Advocate*
1 post 30 hours per week
1 post 35 hours per week – £10.90 per hour (Initial 6 month contract)
Inspiralba are looking to recruit – we have 2 Exciting employment and training job opportunities working across Kintyre, with one post focused on the Glenbarr community (in partnership with Glenbarr Community Development Association) the other post with a wider South Kintyre remit (in partnership with South Kintyre Development Trust, Keeping it Local and Kintyre Weigh).
To be eligible for these posts you must currently be unemployed.
These important new roles will work with people through outreach, assisted by our local partners to promote household resilience, signposting to specialist support to address issues of fuel poverty, increasing household income, energy efficiency and promoting climate action.
We are looking for these 2 roles to provide support to householders across the Kintyre area, this may be in person or via telephone and will require good communication skills and the ability to engage with people of all backgrounds and abilities including vulnerable householders. This will include sharing updates on progress and ensuring follow up for householders through the various application schemes to assist them to maximise income and reduce costs for their household. Good IT skills required as well as a willingness to learn and undertake training as part of a wider network across Argyll.
This post is funded through UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Scottish Government Investing in Communities Fund.
